Current Position:

2019 - Associate Professor of Chinese Language and Literature (SSD L-OR/21), Department of Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean, University of Naples "L'Orientale," previously serving as a Research Fellow (230/2005) from 2010 to 2016 and as a Senior Research Fellow (240/2010) from 2016 to 2019 at the same university. Research:

My research has centred on the analysis of Chinese television production since the 1990s, with a focus on exploring the political and cultural dynamics that contribute to the success of television programs. Conducting multimodal analyses of television works has enabled me to uncover the emotional undertones of narratives, while also facilitating the development of a semantic understanding of Chinese emotional speech. Additionally, I have supplemented these research endeavours with studies in Chinese language teaching, aimed at developing instructional materials tailored to Italian-speaking students across various proficiency levels.
