TARALLO CLAUDIA

Claudia Tarallo is Researcher in Italian Linguistics (LIFI-01/A). She holds the "Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale" as Associate Professor in Italian Linguistics and Philology. In 2017 she obtained a PhD in Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies at the University of Naples L'Orientale, discussing a thesis on the teaching of written Italian in lower secondary schools. Her first line of study continues in the field of educational research. A second line of research concerns the study of political language and Italian public communication, an area in which the publication of the volume "La lingua di Luigi Sturzo. Dalla militanza siciliana alla politica nazionale" (Franco Cesati, 2023) falls. A further and more recent interest is represented by the language of literature for children and adolescents. She collaborates with the Linguistic Consultancy service of the Accademia della Crusca. In parallel with her research activity, she deals with teacher training. She is a member of ASLI (Associazione per la Storia della Lingua Italiana). Since 2025 she has been a member of the Board of ASLI Scuola (ASLI School Section). Since 2023 she has been a member of the editorial board of the magazine RiDESN (Rivista del Dizionario Storico ed Etimologico del Napoletano). She regularly serves as a referee for national and international journals.
