GALLO Michele

In 1995, he earned a degree in Economics and Business and, in 1999, a PhD in Total Quality Management from the University of Naples Federico II. Since October 2020, he has been a Full Professor of Statistics in the Department of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Naples L’Orientale, where he teaches statistical methods. Since 2024, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors at the University of Naples L’Orientale and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Italian Statistical Society. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Human and Social Sciences (formerly the Faculty of Political Sciences) from January 2005 to December 2011, and an Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Faculty of Political Sciences. From November 2000 to December 2001, he was a Research Assistant in Statistical Methods for Total Quality Management in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II.
At the University of Naples L’Orientale, Michele Gallo coordinated the three-year degree course in Political Science and International Relations (L-36) from November 2012 to October 2016 and coordinated the PhD programme in Institution, Law, and Economics of Public Services from November 2008 to October 2014. He has also served as the Chancellor’s Delegate for Student Orientation and Tutoring Services from January 2020 to December 2022. Additionally, he served as President of the Interdepartmental Service Centre for Telematics and Informatics from January 2007 to December 2011 and as Quality Assurance Manager for Scientific Research from June 2004 to December 2010. His primary research interests include multivariate data analysis, tensor analysis, compositional analysis, Rasch analysis, and applied statistics.
