De la «vetula» de la ‘Disciplina clericalis’ a Madonna Isabella del ‘Decameron’: reescrituras del cuento ‘Gladius’

The short-story conventionally called Gladius stages, as is well known, the cunning trick with which an adulterous wife manages to deceive her husband. In its long tradition two main types of textualization are identified, defined by the number of women lovers (one or two) and by the involvement or absence of the mother. The intervention aims to analyze constants and variations of some rewriting of the short-story ascribable to both the first (Disciplina Clericalis) and the second type (Sendebar, Decameron).
