Dramat w niebie i na ziemi: Kraszewski jako krytyk Giotta w kartkach z podróży 1858-1864

Kraszewski similar to his contemporaries has conceived Italy as a land of beauty, ruins and glorious past. In this mind he traveled across Italy and gave a detailed description of his journey in Kartki z podróży. A writer has planned to enlarge his knowledge of archaeology, history and art. Especially devoted by him was a painting of Giotto. On the contrary to the professional critics Karszewski did not write any academic lectures about Giotto's works. He simply described own emotions related to the painting of Italian master.
