Syllabus

Course Objectives

Acquisition of reading skills and interpretation of the literary text, in the context of Italian literary civilization.


Course Prerequisites

General knowledge of Italian literature; we suggest a sufficient knowledge of Italian humanism


Teaching Methods

Frontal lesson based on philological, rhetorical, stylistic, historical reading and commentary on texts, with student involvement in free discussion and literary analysis.


Assessment Methods

Final oral interview. The following are assessed: completeness of information, coherence, clarity and ability to synthesise argumentation, correct use of critical terminology, ability to apply analysis procedures.
