Syllabus

Course Objectives

Acquisition of reading skills and interpretation of the literary text, in the context of Italian literary civilization.


Course Prerequisites

General knowledge of Italian literature


Teaching Methods

Lectures based on the reading of texts, with student involvement in discussion and analysis. Students will be invited to provide interpretations and reflections based on knowledge acquired in the study of other literatures. Through the reading of some literary texts, students will have the tools to learn the entire Italian literary history.


Assessment Methods

The exam consists of an oral discussion. The following will be assessed: completeness of information, coherence, clarity and ability to summarise arguments, correct use of critical terminology, ability to apply analysis procedures.

It is necessary to bring the anthology texts in printed form to the oral discussion.
