Abstract:
This article attempts to unveil and explain the subtle connections between "Elegies for
Minuscule Beings"(Elegii pentru fiinŃe mici), a volume of poetry written by Eugene Ionesco, and "White
and Black"(Le blanc et le noir) by the same author. At the core of Ionesco's meditation on the sacred,
on the scandalous nature of death, or on the extent of tragic, there are the author's drawings and
etchings that keep the secret of his encounter with the Romanian poetic expression. The point of contact
between the real and the memory is graphically theatricalized exposing the vulnerabilities of the
subject.
