GUARINO Augusto

-Augusto Guarino, PhD. in Hispanic Literature (1990, University of Bolonia), since 2000 is Full Professor of Spanish literature at the Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale.

-Since november 2020 he is ViceRector of the Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale

-In the period 2016-2019 he was Director of the Department of Literatures, Languages and Comparative studies of the Orientale.

-In the period 2007 - 2012 (July) he was Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the Orientale.

In the period 2001-2002 he was the coordinator of the "Indirizzo Lingue Straniere" of the "Scuola Interuniversitaria Campana di Specializzazione all'Insegnamento" (post graduate school for secondary teaching), where he also had teached Didactic of Spanish Literature.

-He holded the chair of Vice-Rector in the period 2001-2007.

-His main field of research is the narrative and theatre of the "Siglo de Oro", but he has also published essays in modern and contemporary Spanish and Latin-American novel, as well as about history and theory of translation in Spanish culture.

-He is member of AISPI (Associazione Ispanisti Italiani, dal 1992), of which he was President for the period 2007-2010.

His main field of research is the narrative and theatre of the "Siglo de Oro", but he has also published essays in modern and contemporary Spanish and Latin-American novel, as well as about history and theory of translation in Spanish culture.
