Il nuovo Patto sulla migrazione e l’asilo e la cooperazione dell’Unione europea con i Paesi terzi: niente di nuovo sotto il sole?

On 23 September 2020, the European Commission presented “A new pact on migration and asy-lum”, a policy document accompanied by a package of legislative proposals. After some general comments on the Pact, this contribution intends to focus on cooperation with third countries, in particular on the question whether the Pact is able to overcome the current shortcomings of EU external policies, or rather risks consolidating them.
