Então e Allora: uma primeira análise contrastiva

It is possible to identify some parallels between the pragmatic functions of some discursive markers of Romance languages during conversational exchange. This is the case of Italian Allora and Portuguese Então, while not entirely overlapping, they can perform the same pragmaticconversational functions in a dialogic interaction. The present work is within the scope of the contrastive studies of discursive markers in Romance languages, outlining a first analysis of the two main adverbs of time, and discursive markers, of Italian and Portuguese. In line with what is proposed by the scientific literature in this field, this paper will analyse the main uses of the two linguistic elements, starting from their temporal grammatical function to achieve at their pragmatic use in dialogic interactions. In order to draw a parallel between Italian and European Portuguese, this analysis will consider only the European variant of the Portuguese language. For a qualitative analysis of discursive markers in interactions spontaneous language data and, later, fictional data extracted from audiovisual products (Italian and Portuguese) will be analysed to confront the pragmatic-interactional reality of a language with the metalinguistic representation of its main interactional mechanisms.
