Abstract:
The archaeological investigations conducted by Cristina Tonghini on the citadel of Urfa (Turkey) enabled a detailed study of the city walls, which preserve extensive epigraphic sections. The article is dedicated to the analysis of all the inscriptions, which serve as important evidence of the various phases of the site's occupation, from the Abbasid period to the Ottoman era.
