abstract:
This annotated translation of Rdzogs pa chen po zhang zhung snyan rgyud las kun gzhi’i zhal shes gsal ba’i sgron ma offers a critical engagement with one of the foundational texts of the Rdzogs chen tradition within the Bon po school. Through detailed annotation and contextual analysis, the study elucidates the text’s philosophical significance, particularly its articulation of kun gzhi (skr. ālayavijñāna) and related ontological and epistemological themes. By situating the work within the broader landscape of Tibetan scholasticism, the translation contributes to a deeper understanding of Bon po doctrinal discourse and its intersections with the wider Tibetan intellectual tradition.
