Abstract:
Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia. This is the first Amharic-Italian Vocabulary after Guidi's Vocabolario amarico-italiano (1901). It contains about 20.000 entries and a bulk of idiomatic sentences, drawn from the contemporary language. The Amharic words are systematically transliterated into the Latin alphabet. The arrangement of the terms follows fully scientific criteria.
