The article reflects on the volume “Rien appris, rien oublié? Les Restaurations dans l’Europe postnapoléonienne (1814-1830)” Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2015, pp. 472, edited by Jean-Claude Caron and Jean-Philippe Luis. The analysis focuses on the researches collected in this volume and then moves to the state and potentialities of the historiography on Restauration on three points of view: the comparative history, the transnational history, the history of monarchies.
