Abstract:
The topic analyses the information that the secretary of the Voevoda (Prince) of Wallachia, Constantin Brîncoveanu (1688-1714), a Florentine erudite, Anton Maria Del Chiaro (fl. 1697), and the official chroniclers of Wallachian Principality Radu Greceanu (1655 / 60-before 1725) and Radu Popescu (1655 c.-1729) provide about the life and the work of the Metropolitan of Hungary-Wallachia, Anthimos the Iberian († 1716), a distinguished ecclesiastical, state and public figure in Romanian history.
