This article is inteded as a contribution to the debate on the nature of the relationships between language and archaeology in general, with a special attention to the civilizations that blossomed throughout the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia in the Early Bronze Age, and to the interface role of the Balochistan cultures in the 3rd and 2nd millennium BC.
