A reconstruction of the diplomatic and military events related to the last years of the reign of Murat, brother of Bonaparte imposed as sovereign of the throne of Naples, founded in part on the analysis of unpublished documents preserved in the National Archives in Paris, trying to give a reading, and then an original reflection on the directions undertaken by the Neapolitan foreign policy in the time of the collapse of the Napoleonic empire.
