Tra romanzesco e romanzo: l'opera narrativa di Stendhal

The essay examines Stendhal's fictional works, which allows us to reflect on the relationship between art and life in that Stendhal's novel brings out the gap between ideality and reality, between sense and non-sense, by exceeding the fictional dimension, peculiar of the traditional novel, where ideality is confused with reality; it shows the necessity of dissonance between art and reality that characterizes Modernity.
