abstract:
The article considers the tribal Group of the Qarawnas which was protagonist in Mongol and Timurid times in Iran and Central Asia (XIII-XIV centuries). The analysis is devoted in particular to the lords of this Group and the adoption of Mongol puppet sovereigns to legitimate the Qarawnas power. The model was imitated later by the Timurids.
