The article analyses the Early Medieval city of Naples epigraphic production and, in particular, the funerary models emergence and development reserved for political-military and religious élites. This contribution highlights the relations between Naples and its neighbouring areas, reflecting on the circulation of writing models during the struggles between Neapolitans and Lombards.
