VETRI IRANICI

The booklet in the Series “Schede del Museo no 10” is dealing with the glass vessels present in the National Museum of Oriental Art, Rome. The objects from Achaemenian Parthian and Sasanian time are representative of the main glass production techniques: the glass free blowing, the glass mold blowing, glass cutting. The objects are also representative of the different decorative techniques as the application, the cut, and the incision. The occasion offers to the author the possibility to outline shortly an history of the glass production in the Iranian area.
