A proposito di Cor. IV, 157: una nota aggiuntiva all'interpretazione isamilita di shubbiha lahum

In a passage of a treatise belonging to the Qarmatian-Ismaili tradition, the Kitab shajarat al-yaqin, is to be found a theory which gives an 'unusual' interpretation of Jesus' crucifixion. The common interpretation of Q. IV, 157, admits the theory of the 'double'. On the contrary, Ismailism gives an interpretation which strays from the commeon Islamic belief, since Ismailism seems to admit Jesus' crucifixion. In so doing, the Shajara re-proposes the idea that ismailism, or at least some of its sections, admitted the corruption of Christ's humanity (nasut) but not that of His divinity (lahut); this time expressed in terms of names (Masih and 'Isa) and not of natures (lahut and nasut), as it did previuosly
