Today, the thousands of Ge'ez manuscripts still kept by the Eritrean and Ethiopian monastic libraries are under risk. The joined action of time and men can irreparably damage this philological treasure. Cataloguing and studying the Ge'ez manuscripts is a good way for preserving them from dispersion, and this task can be better accomplished through a project of systematic online publication of the results of the scientific inquiries.
