La letteratura slava ecclesiastica. Osservazioni su problemi e metodi

In the framework of the issues concerning the study of the Church Slavonic literature, the scholar puts out the necessity to deepen the relationship between the “texts” and their “context”, not only the cultural one but above all the “functional” and textual ones as well. In order to exemplify this necessity, it is proposed the examination of the listed works: Siluan Verses for Saint Sava by considering their functional context (paraliturgical) and cultural (the hesychast doctrine flourishing at the time of their composition); the text preceding Slovo Lijubve in the manuscript tradition which, if interpreted in the “macrotext” context it belongs to (the miscellany portion it is included in) and the Serbian Church Slavonic tradition it is a part of, results as its proper introduction.
