Abstract:
The purpose of this book is to meet the needs of translation and interpreting research and training. The subject of this book is a multi-dimensional one, and it is therefore not easy to find suitable research methods, even though it is a subject that fascinates researchers from different disciplines. On the one hand, multimodal translation can refer to interlingual translation and interpretation in the context of diverse communication. On the other hand, it can refer to the translation of a message between modes or media. This book seeks to answer the question of how multimodal messages, their translation and interpretation can be studied. The book shows that multimodality can be approached in translation studies in a variety of ways and that there are different research methods available for studying multimodality both within and outside translation studies.
