abstract:
The present study explores the methodological implications of an investigation conducted with 3rd year university students of English who began their learning pathway during the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to examine the students’ outlook on the emergency e-learning experience and their perception of the social aspects of learning, a survey was designed and administered online. Responses were collected and analysed to provide insights on the implementation of a digital ELT environment enhancing the social dimension of language learning, where students are given the opportunity to improve their competence in English through collaboration, interaction and community-building practices.
