Syllabus

Course Objectives

Expected learning outcomes:

At the end of the course, students should demonstrate a basic understanding of Mongolian grammar and be able to translate a simple text.


Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:

Students should be able to demonstrate the following skills during the assessment: reading, translation, and textual analysis of a passage written in Mongolian. They should also be able to identify the grammatical forms used with a logical analysis of the text.


Making judgments:

At the end of the course, students should demonstrate the ability to interpret and summarize simple, original texts in Mongolian in a personal and effective manner.


Communication skills:

At the end of the course, students should demonstrate the ability to argue clearly and appropriately in Mongolian, using correct morphology and syntax. Students should demonstrate the ability to understand, analyze, and translate literary texts.


Learning skills:

By the end of the course, students

should have acquired the critical thinking skills necessary to find in-depth material appropriate to the course syllabus.


Course Prerequisites

PREREQUIREMENTS

none (basic knowledge of English can help to understand the difficult parts of grammar explanations, but is not required. Most lessons will be in Mongolian and Italian).


Teaching Methods

The course consists of lectures, exercises, seminars and other activities.


Assessment Methods

The exam is divided into: a written test and an oral exam.

Written test: The student will translate a short text and explain it grammaticaly

Oral exam: The student will read a short text, explain it grammatically, and conduct a basic conversation in Mongolian.

Evaluation Criteria: 

The evaluation will consider the consistency, analytical and synthesis skills of the content, completeness of information, correct use of terminology, the ability to apply methodologies specific to the discipline, and the personal commitment demonstrated by the student in their studies.
