Contents

The course of Letteratura Spagnola II is 8 cfu.

This course is devoted to autobiographical fiction of the 17th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.

It will consider theories on the ambiguous nature of autobiography, always in dialectic tenzone with autoficción, theories that have been realized in recent decades since Philippe Lejeune's essay, Le Pacte autobiographique (1970), which set the terms of the pact between writer and reader.

After that, selected texts by authors very distant from each other, both chronologically and in poetic conception, will be analyzed in order to highlight the development of the autobiographical genre over the centuries concerned, identifying the ways in which autobiography and autoficción intersect.
