Syllabus

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for linguistic analysis using digital technologies. The course introduces the construction and management of corpora, the use of digital lexical resources, the automatic analysis of linguistic phenomena, and the application of artificial intelligence to language processing. The skills acquired will be applicable in both academic settings and professional contexts involving the processing and interpretation of textual data.


Course Prerequisites

A sound knowledge of general linguistics and its methods is required.


Teaching Methods

The course consists of 24 hours of interactive teaching, with a strong focus on practical exercises.


Assessment Methods

The exam consists of a written test involving the practical application and critical analysis of one or more computational tools taught during the laboratory. The test is in Italian. Assessment is based on technical accuracy, relevance of the analysis, and the ability to critically reflect on the use of the applied tools.
