Abstract:
This study aims to demonstrate how Urmuz, the unknown Romanian writer, influenced the works of many Romanian intellectuals who became famous in France after the Second World War. These writers are: Tristan Tzara, who, learning from Urmuz the deconstruction of the language, became one of the founders of the Dada movement, Eugène Ionesco, one of the foremost figures of the Theatre of the Absurd, Gherasim Luca, considered by Gilles Deleuze as one of the best poet in France, and Paul Celan, one of the major German poets after Auschwitz, whose poetic of leftovers finds its grounds on Urmuz’s literature.
