Obiettivi Formativi
At the end of the course, students are capable of orienting themselves across multiple levels of analysis as well as across different theoretical perspectives. They are also capable of assigning different roles and functions to the different organizations and regimes examined. Student have acquired various theoretical and analytical tools thanks to which they have developed a more articulated vision of contemporary international politics.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course, students have acquired a rich theoretical and empirical knowledge of international politics analysed through the main regional and international organizations, their role, functions, limits and capacity to manage and solve international crises. Students have developed the ability to place temporally, spatially and theoretically different challenges to the international order.
FURTHER LEARNING OUTCOMES
Making judgments:
By the end of the course, students will be able to critically analyse the main phenomena of international politics by assessing the role of state and non-state actors, the dynamics of cooperation and conflict, and the major transformations of the international order. They will be able to formulate independent judgments on key issues in international politics, distinguishing between different theoretical perspectives and using empirical evidence to support their arguments.
Communication skills:
Through class presentations, guided discussions, and written assignments, students will develop the ability to communicate concepts and analyses related to international politics in a clear, rigorous, and well-structured manner. They will learn to use appropriate disciplinary terminology and adapt their communication to different professional and institutional contexts, including international organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), public institutions, think tanks, and research centres.
Learning ability:
By the end of the course, students will have acquired the ability to identify, select, and critically integrate different types of sources, including academic literature, policy documents, reports produced by international organisations, and databases. They will also develop an autonomous approach to learning and the methodological tools required to independently deepen their knowledge of issues related to international politics.
