abstract:
This work investigates some of the authorial strategies used by Mark Z. Danielewski in his series The Familiar (2015-2017) in relation to the literary and theoretical framework of metamodernism. In particular, the analysis is carried out through a comparative methodology and interdisciplinary perspective and focuses on the first volume of the series, One Rainy Day in May (2015), aiming to highlight the intermedial pattern of Danielewski’s signiconic style.
