«Un oratorio senza musica è un corpo senz’anima». Gli orizzonti musicali di Don Bosco tra armonia, condivisione, aggregazione e formazione

abstract:
In the educational system of Don Bosco, music holds a privileged
position. The oratory, a young and “live” context of education,
finds in music the essence of sharing and the possibility of growing
together. In the words of the saint, music becomes the spirit of
the oratory itself, and defines itself as the art which is able to transmit
at the same time socialization, study, and asceticism. From the
sacredness of the practice of sound, from the professionalism of
chamber music, the act of love that is outlined using the art of music
is revealed as central and irreplaceable in the vision and existential
accomplishment of this great intellectual and man of faith.
