La nona arte in Iran: diritto e società nei fumetti di Marjane Satrapi

Marjane Satrapi’s comics (Persepolis, Chicken with Plums, Embroideries) are focused on Iranian society and politics from the 1953 revolution to the establishment of the Khomeinist Islamic regime and the war against Iraq, seen through the eyes of the Author’s family and friends. The characters move in a world where Iranian law set the background that allows the comprehension of certain social behaviours; the law is also behind obscure phenomena such as the disappearance of political opponents whose fate is clarified by imagining the machine of (in)justice at work.
