abstract:
The essay concerns the Zheng conquest of Taiwan and the expulsion of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) from the Island, analyzing in details the 9 months Zheng Chenggong's siege of Fort Zeeland, as well as the wider historical events it involved. The research was based on primary sources, both Chinese and Dutch.
