From the Scythians to the Achaemenids: a Nomadic Alternative

The article inside the Proceedings of the 5th Conference of the Societas Iranologica Europea is dealing with a particular point of view related to the continuity and discontinuity of the socio-political transmission of the power in the Iranian Plateau. With this perspective the author is outlining the nomadic presence of the steppe peoples into the plateau and their archaeological evidence. Also the nature of the Achaemenian state seems to have something in common with the ancient nomadic composition of the Iranian tribes.
