Some Observations on Italian Asylum and Immigration Policies

The paper focuses on some of the main innovations in Italian legislation/practice/jurisprudence and at the same time offers some suggestions for the way forward, covering the period from September 2019 to May 2022, i.e. from the inaugural Conference of the Maps Network to the final one (MAPS is a network which brought together ten European universities in the execution of the project on “Migration and Asylum Policies Systems. Weaknesses, Shortcomings and Reform Proposals”, approved by the EACEA within the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union Commission).
