I Borbone a San Leucio: un esperimento di polizia cristiana

Capitolo di libro
Data di Pubblicazione:
2012
Abstract:
The essay aims to provide an original historical reading of the Code of San Leucio published in 1789 by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon on the occasion of the birth of silk / colony of San Leucio.
The essay is divided into four parts.
The first part collects all the positive readings of the Code that many intellectuals did.
The second part collects the different historiographical readings of the Code of San Leucio.
The third part looks at the Bourbon government action in the light of the art police that for nearly a century had established itself in Europe.
The fourth part suggests that the Code was a political experiment aimed at laying the groundwork for a particular government action in the Kingdom of Naples: the Christian police.
