Some lexical considerations are here offered on George Borrow's short glossary of the Ararabic dialect of Tangiers (Morocco) in 1839, edited by S. Hopkins in 2015: special attention is devoted to some names of animals, highlighting denomination processes which supplement the information provided in P. Behnstedt and M. Woidich, Wortatlas der Arabischen Dialekte I (Leiden 2011).
