My first essay focuses on the relevant phenomenon of the literary non-fiction in the Dutch-speaking area. This paper investigates the sources and the models in the works of several important writers. My second essay compares two poems, Gabriele D'Annunzio's 'La pioggia nel pineto' and Paul van Ostaijen's 'Zomerregenlied', and talks about them in terms of theme and style.
