The volume presents a selection of papers of the International Conference Ancient Egypt – New Technology hosted for its second edition by the Department of Asia, Africa and Mediterranean of the University of Naples L'Orientale, 5–7 July 2023. The volume highlights the growing integration of digital technologies within Egyptology. Methods such as laser scanning, photogrammetry, 3D modelling, and non-invasive imaging have significantly enhanced the documentation, analysis, and preservation of archaeological data and artefacts.The contributions reflect the interdisciplinary nature of this field, bringing together scholars from Egyptology, archaeology, anthropology, conservation, and digital heritage studies. Alongside innovative approaches, the volume also considers established diagnostic techniques, such as X-rays and CT scans, as essential tools for research.Overall, the volume underscores the importance of collaboration between the humanities and technological disciplines, offering an overview of current methodologies and future directions in the study and dissemination of the ancient Egyptian past.
