The volume published in collaboration with the Szolnok Museum presents the results of two excavation's season at the Ocsod Halom cemetery of Avar period in south-eastern Hungary. From the descriptive analysis of the excavation to the analysis of the materials the volume presents in a way suitable for the use in a digital archive the material evidence of a difficult period of the Hungarian history; from the number of the migratory waves of that people, its controversial material culture and especially the complex nature of the particular horse-burials. The volume uses the input of different specialists, and does not neglect the physical-anthropological and zoo-archaeological data of the human and animal buried in the tombs.
