This book, at the time of its publication the most complete work on Korean history ever written by a western author, deals with the History of Korea from its very origin to 2003. Widely used as textbook in various Italian univesities, this work not only aims to introduce Korea to common readers, but also represent a solid reference for students and scholars interested in Oriental studies. The book, following the traditional divisions founded on Korea dynasties, offers a critical analysis of the main events and cultural phenomena occurred in each historical period, and also it is enriched with several tables and an extensive bibliography.
