The article discusses religious interactions between Judaeans and other members of the garrison of Elephantine-Syene in Upper Egypt (5th century BC). It focuses also on specific gods and religious practices, tackling the widespread opinion about the “syncretic” Judaean cult in Achaemenid Egypt.
