World prices dynamics

What follows is a graphical representation of price dynamics across a set of 207 countries over the years that span from 2000 to 2024 (2023 for some countries). Plots of monthly data that highlight price variability, fluctuations and jumps are a sequence alphabetically ordered according to country names. All data are from the FAOSTAT data set of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The extension of the historical period analyzed and the exhaustive group of countries observed aim to portray fundamental price dynamics in a comprehensive manner and depict a global view of underlying trends that may help inspire the work of researchers in monetary economics.
