Panorama degli studi sul Pontano politico

The article proposes a critical and reasoned review of the literature on Giovanni Pontano’s political thought, particularly in the last thirty years, but also taking into account the most relevant previous contributions. The result is the definition of a new interpretative paradigm of the studies on political humanism in Southern Italy, with repercussions also on Italian humanism in general.
