Abstract:
In this paper, the author limits himself to examining the first category
of derivative adjectives of color modified by suffixes expressing uncertainty. The
article substantiates the research methods; establishes similarities and differences in
the comparative aspect, i.e. structural-grammatical and lexical-semantic paradigms of
the two languages; examines the first grammatical sources on the degrees of quality

and the forms of their expression in adjectives of color and some specific examples of
the use of these adjectives of color based on literary texts taken from the national
corpus of the Russian language.
