‘Tra Ercolano e Pompei. Il sistema decorativo della casa’

The article presents a comparative analysis of painting decoration in Herculaneum and Pompeii, in order to show that a conclusive discussion regarding these two sites should pay particular attention to the diversity of evidence, taking into account a series of circumstances which oblige us to make clear distinctions among the different levels of quality in the preserved decorations.
