abstract:
In this paper I will argue that the inclusion of FLT in the new programs for primary education favors the integration of different subject matters. This is particularly true when collaboration among the members who contribute to children’s education is established in the school context and favored by both the teaching staff and the non-teaching staff. I will start by looking at what Interdisciplinarity implies and at what it requires. I will then suggest and discuss some of the major reasons that favor collaboration, indicate some of the links that may be netted with other subject matters, propose and critically examine an exemplification, and finally conclude the paper presenting a model for integrated activities.
